Whitest Noise privacy
Steelyard Ventures LLC · Updated October 21, 2026
Your sounds and settings
Whitest Noise plays its included sounds offline. Sound choice, favorites, timer and volume are stored on your device; we do not upload them to our servers or add them to advertising requests. The app has no account and does not request microphone, camera, contacts, photos or precise-location access. It does not record you or track your sleep.
Settings remain until changed or removed with the app. Device backups depend on your Apple settings; deleting the app does not necessarily remove backup copies. We cannot retrieve or erase local settings remotely.
Advertising and choices
A Google AdMob banner can appear at the bottom of Home while the app is visible. It is removed while other app screens or Dark screen are open and does not appear on the Lock Screen. Ad audio is muted by default; this can be changed in Settings.
Google's consent service checks regional privacy requirements and can contact Google before a banner appears. Ads are requested only when that service permits them. Where required, Ad privacy choices below the banner lets you review or change your choice. Declining optional consent can still allow limited advertising. Sounds remain available when ads cannot load. No ad interaction is required.
We request nonpersonalized ads, disable publisher first-party ID and disable publisher personalization. The app does not request Apple's tracking permission. Nonpersonalized does not mean that Google collects no data or uses no identifiers.
Google's advertising and consent services can process IP address and approximate location, device/app identifiers, ad views and interactions, and crash, performance and other diagnostic information. These support advertising, measurement, service operation, security and improvement. The app does not supply sound choices, favorites, timer settings or a customer list. See Google's SDK disclosure and Google's privacy policy, including its retention and deletion controls. Google and its service providers are required to protect information under applicable privacy requirements and their disclosed policies. We do not control or promise deletion of every independent provider record.
Apple, diagnostics and support
Apple may provide store statistics and crash/usage reports under its sharing settings. See Apple's app analytics information. TestFlight versions also share beta usage, crash and optional feedback information under TestFlight's policy.
The in-app Diagnostics screen displays the app version, ad state and a limited error stage/domain/code. App code does not send those diagnostics to a Steelyard server. Apple and Google can still collect their own diagnostics as described above.
Our website host receives ordinary web-request information when you open these pages. Our support pages use Cloudflare. When you contact support, we receive the contact details and content you choose to send, and retain correspondence as needed to respond, investigate and meet applicable obligations. No fixed automatic expiry applies. Uninstalling the app does not delete correspondence.
For help, privacy questions or a deletion request, use Whitest Noise support. Avoid sending unnecessary personal information. This policy will be updated if our practices change.
